Banna Gupta Hoists Flag, Honors Heroes at Gopal Maidan
Health Minister Banna Gupta celebrates 75th Republic Day in Jamshedpur with patriotic fervor, addresses vital social and development issues.
JAMSHEDPUR – Honorable Minister of Health, Medical Education, and Disaster Management of Jharkhand, Shri Banna Gupta, led the 75th Republic Day celebrations at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur.
He hoisted the flag, saluted the tricolor, and conveyed Republic Day greetings to the state and district residents.
The event saw the participation of senior officials including District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Kishore Kaushal, and other district administration members.
District Magistrate Mr. Bhajantri and other officials also conducted flag hoisting ceremonies at various government offices including the Collectorate, Red Cross building, and police stations.
In his address, Minister Gupta paid tribute to freedom fighters and emphasized Jharkhand’s struggle for cultural and identity recognition post-independence.
He outlined the state government’s efforts, under Chief Minister Hemant Soren, to realize the vision of Jharkhand’s heroes.
Shri Gupta highlighted key welfare schemes including the Chief Minister Pension Scheme for women, Mukhyamantri Kishori Samridhi Yojana for girl students, and the Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Sports Scheme for enhancing sports infrastructure.
He announced developments like a super-specialist hospital in Jamshedpur and infrastructure improvements to alleviate traffic congestion.
The Minister recognized the dedication of health workers, sanitation workers, police officers, and other personnel in implementing government schemes.
The Republic Day celebration also included a parade where NCC girls, District Police Force, and others participated, with the Agriculture Department and Social Welfare Department winning top honors in tableaus.
The event was a tribute to the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, highlighting the state’s commitment to progress and inclusivity.
