JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur FC’s campaign in the Kalinga Super Cup concluded with a 2-0 loss against East Bengal FC in the semi-finals.
The match began with both teams adopting aggressive tactics, but East Bengal’s Hijazi broke the deadlock in the 19th minute.
Despite multiple attempts by Jamshedpur players like Hoakip, Rei, and Steve, the team couldn’t capitalize on their chances.
A forced substitution in the 32nd minute saw Steve Ambri replaced by Sanan due to an injury.
Jamshedpur’s strongest opportunity arose in the 38th minute with Imran’s shot being saved by East Bengal’s goalkeeper.
Goalkeeper TP Rehenesh made crucial saves for Jamshedpur, including one in the 43rd minute, keeping them in contention.
However, East Bengal doubled their lead early in the second half with a goal from Silverio, assisted by Nanda.
