Swachh Tirtha: Massive Clean-Up at Sidhgora Sun Temple Ahead of Rituals
In response to PM Modi’s Swachh Tirtha call, Jamshedpur’s Sidhgora Sun Temple sees a grand clean-up campaign, setting the stage for the upcoming Ram Utsav celebrations.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Sun Temple in Sidhgora, Jamshedpur, is witnessing an enthusiastic clean-up campaign as part of the Swachh Tirtha initiative called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This initiative precedes the grand Ram Utsav scheduled for January 22, coinciding with the consecration of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya Dham.
A bevy of rituals will enliven Suryadham Sidhgora on January 21 and continue throughout the next day.
The temple complex’s floors, walls, and roofs were meticulously cleaned by committee members, local devotees, and others, reflecting a collective spirit of devotion and cleanliness.
Chandragupta Singh, the guardian of the Sun Temple, revealed plans for traditional rituals mirroring those in Ayodhya Dham, adding to the fervor surrounding the historic event on January 22.
According to Sun Temple Committee Chairman Bhupendra Singh, elaborate preparations for Ram Utsav include temple decorations and a series of religious activities.
On January 21, Mithilanchal devotees will honor Pahun Prabhu Shri Ram with special offerings.
The Surya Dham will host various rituals, including worship, Ram Raksha Stotra recitation, havan, aarti, and prasad distribution on January 22, culminating in a grand Deepotsav and fireworks display.
Senior Surya Mandir Committee member Dinesh Kumar emphasized the community’s role in the cleanliness drive, aligning with the national call for Swachh Tirtha Abhiyan.
The Sun Temple Committee members, including Bhupendra Singh, Chandragupta Singh, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Dinesh Kumar, and others, participated actively in this transformative endeavor, marking a significant moment in Jamshedpur’s cultural and spiritual landscape.
