Anand Marg Follower’s Selfless Platelet Donations Aid Cancer Patients

Jayesh Kumar’s Platelet Donation Marks 15th Contribution to Jamshedpur Blood Bank

Jayesh Kumar, affiliated with Anand Marg, selflessly donates single donor platelets for the fourth time, aiding cancer patients at Jamshedpur Blood Bank.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a commendable act of altruism, Jayesh Kumar, son of Sunil Anand from Anand Marg, has made his fourth single donor platelet (SDP) donation at Jamshedpur Blood Bank, contributing significantly to the treatment of cancer patients. This donation marks his 15th blood donation and SDP contribution.

The requirement for single donor platelets was communicated through WhatsApp by Anand Marg Universal Relief Team Global, which also appealed to blood warriors associated with the Anand Marg organization to participate.

Before donating, SDP donors must undergo a complete medical checkup to ensure a platelet count of at least 1.5 lakh, a prerequisite for platelet donation.

The donation process, including investigation and the actual donation, takes about an hour.

Sanjay Choudhary, General Manager of Jamshedpur Blood Bank, Dr. LB Singh from the Blood Bank, and Sunil Anand of Anand Marg, honored Jayesh Kumar with a citation for his noble gesture.

This act highlights the importance of community involvement in healthcare and the life-saving impact of blood and platelet donations, especially for patients undergoing critical treatments like cancer therapy.
