JAMSHEDPUR – The recent attack on Reena Mandal and her husband Ashish Mandal, state executive president of Bangla Bhashi Unnayan Samiti, in Dhanbad has sparked widespread protests even in Jamshedpur.
The Samiti has petitioned the Chief Minister for swift justice, conveying their demand through the Deputy Commissioner.
The incident occurred on October 31 in Dhanbad, where Ranveer Singh allegedly rammed and threatened the Mandal couple at gunpoint.
Despite a formal complaint to the Dhanbad police, the accused remains at large, prompting public concern over police efficacy.
The Unnayan Samiti has called for the Chief Minister’s direct intervention to ensure the perpetrator is apprehended and prosecuted.
