Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Tour Comes to Jamshedpur

Tata Steel to Exhibit Prestigious Hockey Trophy at JRD Tata Sports Complex Ahead of Championship

In a move to rally local enthusiasm for the upcoming Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2023, Tata Steel announces a special Trophy Tour in Jamshedpur on October 18. The event aims to boost hockey interest and empower women in sports.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a gesture that signals its longstanding commitment to sports development in India, Tata Steel announced its gratitude to the Government of Jharkhand, Asian Hockey Federation and Jharkhand State Hockey Association for the privilege of hosting the Trophy Tour of the Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2023.

Tata Steel said that it aims to create a platform for budding athletes by bringing the much-anticipated trophy to Jamshedpur.

Generating both excitement and awareness, the Trophy Tour in the city serves as an anticipatory build-up to the actual championship, scheduled to happen from October 27 to November 5 in Ranchi.

Participating nations in the upcoming championship include top Asian teams such as India, Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The prestigious trophy will be displayed for the public at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on October 18, between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

A Tata Steel communique said that it is an ardent advocate of both sports and women’s empowerment, takes pride in offering this unique opportunity for hockey enthusiasts to witness the trophy up close.
