Over 200 Students Participate in Two-Day Event Featuring Speeches, Jugalbandi and Ramp Walk
Gamharia’s Arka Jain University hosts the annual literary festival, dedicating it to Mahatma Gandhi and focusing on diverse literary and artistic activities.
JAMSHEDPUR – Arka Jain University in Gamharia, Seraikela Kharsawan, was a buzzing hive of intellectual activity as it held its departmental annual literary festival, titled ‘Arak Literary Fest’.
In a special gesture, this year’s fest was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, a move that brought both pride and respect for the Father of the Nation.
University Chairman Prof (Dr) SS Razi and Student Welfare Head Dr Angad Tiwari graced the inaugural session with their presence.
In his speech, Dr. Razi highlighted the transformative power of festivals and celebrations, emphasizing how they can broaden perspectives.
On the first day, attendees eagerly participated in a plethora of activities that included speech competitions, poetry recitals, mime performances, documentaries, and even a competition focused on waste regeneration.
The festival’s second day saw an exuberant display of talent in Jugalbandi and a ramp walk.
The winners were felicitated by University’s Joint Registrar Jasbir Singh Dhanjal and IQAC member Dr. Amit Kumar.
Claiming the championship title this time was DBMS Kadma.
The event was deftly managed by convenor Rajkumari Ghosh and coordinator Shahin Fatma, ensuring its grand success.
