RANCHI – The Chief Minsiter of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, has mourned the demise of CRPF jawan from Giridih, Ajay Kumar Rai. Late Ajay Kumar Rai laid down his life while fighting terrorists in an encounter in Kashmir’s Pulwama.
In a message, the CM said: “Deeply saddened by the news of the martyrdom of CRPF jawan Ajay Kumar Rai from Jharkhand’s Mati ke Lal, Giridih’s Dhengadih village in an encounter with terrorists in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. May God give peace to the soul of late Amar Veer Shaheed Ajay ji and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this difficult moment of grief.”
The news has shocked the people of Giridih.
Not only the family members but also the entire Giridih people regret the loss of their son.
From local public representatives to social workers, even common people are reaching out to console the family members of martyr Ajay Rai.
Ajay has left behind his wife and two small children.
They got married about 5 years ago.
The mother is fainting again and again in the grief of her son’s martyrdom.
As soon as his mother Swati Devi heard the news of her son’s death, she has been fainting ever since.
Martyr’s father said that there used to be a conversation with Ajay every evening.
He always used to ask about his mother’s health, because mother’s health is going bad.
Martyr Ajay Kumar Rai’s father Raju Rai said that Ajay was employed in 2016, after which the first posting took place in Siliguri, then from there he was transferred to Jammu.
Suddenly the terrorists opened fire in which Ajay Kumar Rai was martyred.
He was ready on duty from 12 to 3 o’clock on Friday late night.
Ajay Kumar Rai was posted in CRPF in 2016 and recently he was posted in Amarnath.
Ajay Kumar Rai was currently living with his family in a rented house in Patel Nagar, Sirsia, Giridih.
The residents of Giridih were shocked that just before the national festival to be held on August 15, a soldier from Giridih was martyred in an encounter with terrorists on Saturday morning in Awantipora, Pulwama, Amarnath, Jammu and Kashmir.
