Jamshedpur’s Mango Ulidih police arrest Mohd Rashid for firing at a resident, seizing his mobile phone and weapon.
JAMSHEDPUR – DSP Sumit Kumar of Patmada Range, Police Inspector Rakesh Kumar, OP in-charge Sonu Kumar, Researcher Mukesh Sharan, and other police personnel were involved in the operation that led to the arrest of Mohd Rashid, alias Chikna.
The police conducted a raid based on confidential information, detaining Rashid Hussain alias Chikna, and seizing from him a country-made katta, a fired hollow, and a cell phone.
According to the victim’s report to the Ulidih police station, the incident occurred when Rashid returned to the store and started threatening him with the weapon.
He explained that Rashid shot at him as he tried to reason with him, but accidentally missed.
The victim received a call from his brother-in-law and proceeded to his store, where Rashid had earlier departed after threatening to shoot.
The claim states that Rashid arrived at the store, asked for ten rupees’ worth of chips on loan, and began yelling and threatening when he was refused.
He then left, only to return after 10 minutes, continuing to threaten the victim.
The incident took place on Saturday night when the victim, Mo Akbar, visited his brother-in-law Mo Wasim Raja’s store.
Mohd Rashid, alias Chikna, shot at Shankosai resident Mohd Akbar on Friday night.
Today, the police placed Mohd Rashid in judicial custody and sent him to prison, after seizing from him a mobile phone, a burned kiosk, and a country-made katta.
