Delegation of Fair Price Shop Dealers in Jamshedpur demands food grain for August, claiming only half received the supply, leading to consumer dissatisfaction.
JAMSHEDPUR – A delegation from the Fair Price Shop Dealers Association arrived at the East Singhbhum district headquarters on Friday.
They handed over a demand letter, urging the provision of food grains for the month of August.
The organization informed that there are more than 1500 Public Distribution System (PDS) dealers in the district.
Out of these, only half have been provided with food grains for August.
The remaining dealers have been informed by the AGM that the stock has been exhausted.
As a result, they are facing the wrath of the consumers who are not receiving their entitled food supplies.
The dealers pleaded with the Deputy Commissioner to provide food grains for the month of August, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling this need for the welfare of the community.
This situation highlights a significant concern in the food distribution chain, potentially impacting many families who rely on these services for essential nourishment.
