Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur conducts a week-long Cervical Cancer Awareness Campaign, enlightening women on prevention, vaccines, and healthy practices.
JAMSHEDPUR – Under the leadership of President Archana Shekhar, Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur conducted an awareness program for 75 to 80 women at Balichela Urban Center Sonari.
The event is part of a week-long campaign, celebrated from August 1 to August 7, focusing on Cervical Cancer Awareness.
President Archana Shekhar personally engaged with the attendees, discussing the importance of understanding the disease and methods to prevent it.
Varsha Gandhi emphasized the importance of breastfeeding for women, explaining how it can contribute to the overall health of both mother and child, as well as help prevent breast cancer.
Dr. Manju Rani Singh further provided insights into the prevention of cervical cancer.
She also informed attendees about the available vaccine that can save girls from cervical cancer, a critical piece of information for many present at the gathering.
Nalini Ramamurthy also spoke to the women, emphasizing the significance of awareness and early detection.
The event was well-received, with participants expressing gratitude for the information and support provided.
Other notable attendees included PP Navita Prasad, committee member Vidya Tiwari, and Chanchala Singh.
