Accused of many cases, Kanhaiya Singh, has been detained again shortly after being released from prison in Jamshedpur, with police strengthening their crackdown on crime.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a surprise move, senior district police officials have started interrogating Kanhaiya Singh, a notorious accused of many cases, who had just been released from prison.
The sudden police action seems to indicate their intent to either send him back to jail by implementing the CCA or to keep him out of the city.
Having just been released after obtaining bail from the High Court, Kanhaiya Singh had barely tasted his freedom before finding himself back in police custody.
The freedom he enjoyed was short-lived, as he was arrested again after his release from Sakchi Prison after having spent six months there.
His initial imprisonment was a result of multiple incidents, including a shooting in Bagbera, that led to his arrest by the police.
Accused of murder and violating the Arms Act, Singh is a known associate of gangster Akhilesh Singh and has been apprehended by the police in the past.
His relief of being free from prison was cut short when police unexpectedly stormed his Bagbera home where he had spent his first night of freedom.
