Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha’s monsoon session, marked by hefty security measures, kicks off with a lineup of vital discussions and a six-day working stretch.
JAMSHEDPUR – The eagerly awaited monsoon session of the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha starts today.
The session, packed with six working days, will run from 28th July to 4th August, with a break on 29th and 30th July.
As part of the proceedings, the government will present the second supplementary budget on 31st July.
In light of the critical nature of the session, more than 600 police personnel have been deployed for security.
More than two dozen barricades have been set up on the roads to ensure order and safety.
Jagannathpur Police Station, Dhurva Police Station, Doranda Police Station, and Argora Police Station in Ranchi, located near the Assembly, have been put on high alert to tackle any potential emergency.
Ravindra Nath Mahato, the Speaker, has convened a high-level meeting with officials and leaders from all parties to ensure the smooth conduct of the monsoon session.
Despite this, the opposition has chosen to stay away from this meeting.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is gearing up to challenge the government on various pressing issues, including the increasing crime rate, corruption, Bangladeshi infiltration, and illegal mining in the state.
Given these contentious topics, the monsoon session this year is predicted to be fraught with tumult and uproar.
