Jamshedpur Police Appeals for Peaceful Muharram Amid High Alert

SSP of Jamshedpur Prabhat Kumar calls for calm during Muharram, warns against any form of unrest and closely monitors social media for disruptive activities.

JAMSHEDPUR – The city’s police force is on high alert as the Muharram festival approaches. SSP Prabhat Kumar has urged the residents of Jamshedpur to observe the occasion peacefully. He made a particular appeal to the Akhara committees, cautioning them to stick to the fixed procession routes and warning that any attempts to disturb the peace will be dealt with severely.

SSP Kumar has expressly forbidden the display of deadly weapons during the Muharram procession.

His warning comes as part of the wider efforts of Jamshedpur police to maintain order during this important occasion.

Special Monitoring of Social Media

The police force in Jamshedpur is especially vigilant on social media platforms.

Muharram is set to be observed with a procession on July 29th in Jamshedpur.

The district administration has already completed most of the preparations for this event.

In a meeting with all the Akhara committees, the peace committee has ensured mutual cooperation for the peaceful celebration of the Muharram festival.

The police department has reaffirmed a collective commitment to maintaining tranquility and respect throughout the city during the upcoming religious observance.
