Tatanagar Railway Protection Force Cracks Down on Ticket Touts

The Tatanagar Railway Protection Force’s CIB division steps up measures against ticket touting, seizing e-tickets worth Rs 50,000 and arresting one individual.

JAMSHEDPUR – Acting under the direction of Inspector Shailesh Chandra, the Tatanagar Railway Protection Force’s CIB division has made significant inroads in their fight against ticket touting.

During a raid on Saturday at the Mandal Cyber Cafe in Chandni Chowk, Parsudih, the team arrested owner Manoj Kumar Mandal and confiscated his phone.

This operation led to the seizure of e-tickets amounting to Rs 50,000, including three live tickets.

Upon arrest, Mandal was handed over to RPF Tata Post, and a case was registered against him under Section 143 of the Railway Act.

The RPF presented evidence suggesting that Mandal had been operating the ticket touting business for over a year, utilizing three different user IDs.

The effective operation was carried out by a small but dedicated team, including Inspector Chandra, Inspector Rambabu Singh, ASI Nagendra, Constable A Rahman, and Ajay Gupta.
