Bihar Jharkhand Sales Representative Union protests against widespread labor retrenchments in the pharmaceutical industry across India.
JAMSHEDPUR – Under the banner of the Bihar Jharkhand Sales Representative Union, a protest against labor retrenchments in pharmaceutical industries across the country took place near the Jamshedpur district headquarters.
Union members stated that many pharmaceutical companies nationwide are unfairly dismissing their workers.
They highlighted several companies where a large number of workers have been terminated.
The union members believe that these companies are exploiting the flexible system of the four labor codes introduced by the central government.
The union will not tolerate such exploitation, they said.
Following the protest, a demand letter was sent to the country’s Labor Minister via the district’s Deputy Commissioner.
The union also called for the laborers’ rights to be upheld.
