The painting competition titled "Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat", organized by Bharat Petroleum, saw participation from 55 children from various Jamshedpur schools.
Jamshedpur – A total of 55 schoolchildren from Jamshedpur showcased their artistic talents at a painting competition titled "Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat" on Thursday. The contest, sponsored by Bharat Petroleum, was held at the Rajendra & Sons petrol station in Parsudih.
The participants were divided into two groups, with Group 1 comprising students from the 4th to 6th grades and Group 2 consisting of students from the 7th and 8th grades.
In Group 1, the first, second, and third prizes were bagged by Suman Gupta, Sawan Sardar, and Shivani Bhumij respectively. Meanwhile, in Group 2, Saraswati Sardar, Kunti Hembrom, and Sarita Rai clinched the top three positions. In addition, Pranika Gupta, a student at KSMS, was given a special award for her artwork.
The event saw Bharat Petroleum official, Nitish Kumar, encouraging the children to become ambassadors for cleanliness. An oath was taken by the young participants, led by Rajendra Shah Raj of Rajendra & Sons, pledging to maintain cleanliness at home, in their neighbourhoods, and schools.
The event was graced by several other dignitaries including social worker Mangal Patro, Pragati Gupta, Priyanka Gupta, Vikas Kumar, Amit Santra, and Lakhan Vikrant. The vote of thanks was given by Rajendra Shah Raj.
