The awareness camp for the welfare of ex-servicemen and brave women was held at Army Camp Sonari, organized by the District Sainik Board Chaibasa.
JAMSHEDPUR – Under the guidance of Colonel Kishore Singh, Welfare Officer, Zilla Sainik Board Chaibasa, an awareness camp was set up at the Family Welfare Center of Army Camp Sonari.
The purpose of the camp was to educate about the welfare and new policies concerning the retired soldiers from all three services.
Prominent attendees included Station Headquarters Adm. Commandant Lt. Col. Rajesh Gupta, Officer Incharge of ECHS Lt. Col. Tejpal Bajwa, and Veterans Dr. Brigadier Niranjan, Col. Chaturbhuj Nath, Lt. Col. Dr. Vikas, along with Kolhan’s distinguished soldiers and Veer Nari.
Veteran Sushil Kumar Singh lauded the camp’s organization and expressed gratitude to the Zilla Sainik Board, ECHS office bearers, and team members.
He emphasized the need for unity and mutual support among the soldiers’ families in times of happiness and sorrow.
This camaraderie, he noted, is a hallmark of the Indian Army.
The program commenced with a two-minute silence in tribute to the brave soldiers and ex-servicemen who gave their lives in the past three months.
Attendees were informed about the financial assistance provided by the state government for the treatment of critical diseases like cancer and diabetes, pension, scholarship, employment, and life certificate record.
All Kolhan ex-servicemen were encouraged to join their local organizations to stay updated on the facilities provided by the Central and State Governments.
Lt. Col. Tejpal Bajwa, Officer Incharge of ECHS, explained the benefits of the 64 KV card and guided members on how to apply for a new one.
Polyclinic Jamshedpur’s goal is to provide the best possible treatment for every disease of ex-servicemen at ECHS, Empaneled Hospitals, and Army Hospitals.
If an ex-serviceman requires emergency treatment elsewhere, the bill can be reimbursed at central government rates.
Two brave women received their checks at the camp.
Some soldiers shared their concerns, and the District Sainik Board’s Clerk Mahendra Chaudhary and Prabhat Kumar provided guidance.
The Welfare Officer presented Veterans Badges to some of the attendees.
The ex-servicemen organizations were praised for their services to needy soldiers and civilians.
This year, Kargil Vijay Diwas will be celebrated on July 26th, and a delegation will meet the District Deputy Commissioner next Monday to discuss the arrangements.
The success of the program was attributed to 2IC Lt Col Mohit Jain of the Army Unit and the soldiers of Sainik Sanstha, along with hundreds of proud fighters.
