Vijaya Jadhav, the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, has called a meeting with the heads of the MGM Medical College Hospital to discuss strategies for healthcare improvements in the facility.
JAMSHEDPUR – The health care system at the MGM Medical College Hospital has seen marked improvements, yet there is always room for further progress.
In a bid to drive this progress, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav convened a meeting with the hospital authorities in her office on Thursday.
Present at the discussion were the superintendent, deputy superintendent, and the department heads of the hospital.
The primary aim of the gathering was to brainstorm measures to upgrade the healthcare facilities of the division, given that a large population relies on the services of MGM.
Among the key issues that the Deputy Commissioner raised were the stockpiling of medicines, deployment of doctors, the necessity for a Computed Tomography (CT) scanner and an Aortic Blood Gas (ABG) analyzer, and a plan to fill vacancies at the hospital.
Despite the significant development in the hospital’s infrastructure and facilities, Vijaya Jadhav emphasized the need for further enhancements.
The availability of sufficient beds for patients, the smooth functioning of the emergency department without overcrowding, timely transfers of patients to the appropriate wards, and appropriate attire for doctors and staff were among the topics she touched upon.
Also present at the meeting was Dinesh Ranjan, the District Tuberculosis Officer.
