Chaibasa’s district police achieve significant success in an operation against CPI Maoists, seizing a number of items including explosive devices.

CHAIBASA – The district police in Chaibasa has made a significant stride in an operation against CPI Maoists within the Tonto and Goilkera police station areas of West Singhbhum district.

During Friday’s operation, the police discovered two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), each weighing 10 and 8 kilograms, an iron rod, and an arrow in Hathiburu near Lovabeda in the jurisdiction of Goilkera police station.

Furthermore, 12 iron rods and arrows were recovered from Tumbahaka to Sarjomburu in the Tonto police station area, along with another IED weighing 6 kilograms.

The Bomb Disposal Squad successfully destroyed the discovered IED.
