In a shocking incident, an elderly couple was hacked to death with an axe in Karaikela village, Chakradharpur.
CHAIBASA – A heinous double murder occurred in Karaikela, a remote village in the Chakradharpur area.
The victims were an elderly couple, who were brutally hacked to death, perhaps with an axe, in their own courtyard.
The incident, which took place late last night, saw the couple murdered while they were sleeping outside their home.
Upon receiving information about the crime, Karaikela police immediately arrived at the scene and began their investigation.
The bodies of the victims were recovered and sent to Chakradharpur for post-mortem examination.
As of now, the motive behind the gruesome murder is unclear, and the police are yet to identify any suspects.
However, local sources suggest that the murder may have been carried out by two or three individuals from the same village.
It is also noted that the elderly couple lived alone in their home, which potentially made them easy targets for such a horrific crime.
