Chakradharpur Police crack double murder case in 24 hours, arresting two suspects linked to a brutal attack on an elderly couple.

CHAKRADHARPUR – Chakradharpur Police swiftly solved a horrifying double murder case within 24 hours, leading to the arrest of two accused individuals.

This prompt action follows the brutal killing of an elderly couple in the Jomro village, under the jurisdiction of the Karaikela police station.

Swift Action and Investigation

SDPO Kapil Chaudhary revealed details of the case resolution during a press conference.

It was earlier reported that unknown assailants attacked the elderly couple, Sakari Diggi and his wife Badgi Kui Kiya, with sharp weapons in their home on Sunday night.

Chaudhary disclosed that an intense investigation was launched, considering the severity of the incident.

This investigation led to the arrest and subsequent interrogation of Deva Diggi alias Daso Diggi, who was connected to the crime scene.

Confessions and Motives

Under interrogation, Daso Diggi confessed his involvement in the double murder, along with another associate, Vishal Sardar.

A land dispute was cited as the motive behind this ghastly crime.

Weapons used in the murder, including two handguns and an axe, were recovered by the police.

In a heinous act that shocked the Chakradharpur area, the elderly couple were brutally murdered in their courtyard.

Living alone, they were potentially easy targets for such a horrific crime.
