The Jamshedpur Swachchhata Foundation organizes a cleanliness drive at the Subarnarekha river ghat, stressing the importance of regular clean-up efforts.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Swachchhata Foundation, known for its steadfast commitment towards maintaining cleanliness, organized a cleanliness drive today at Mango Subarnarekha river ghat.
The foundation has been carrying out such initiatives for many years. However, the current condition of the river, especially in the summer, has become a cause for concern due to the increased pollution and filth.
To mitigate this, members of the Foundation cleaned the river bank and removed the water hyacinth. They also noted the alarming decrease in the river’s water level, indicating that everyone needs to pay attention to this issue.
Emphasizing the need for year-round cleanliness, Gaurav Anand, Chairman of the Foundation, stated, "It will not work if companies or government organizations only clean the rivers on festivals. It needs to be kept clean throughout the year. If water is there, there is a future."
