Extortion & Assault Allegations: Yet Another FIR Against BJP’s Abhay Singh

BJP leader Abhay Singh and brothers accused of alleged extortion and assault. Mohd. Sagir, a local builder, lodges FIR at Mango police station.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant turn of events, jailed BJP leader Abhay Singh and his brothers, Dilip Singh and Nirbhay Singh, find themselves under the legal scanner once again as Azad Nagar builder Mohd. Sagir lodged an FIR against them under 19 sections at the Mango police station.

Sagir, who resides at the luxurious tower in Jawahar Nagar and operates his office from Optimus Tower, Mango, alleged in the FIR that he has been a victim of consistent extortion, harassment, and assault from the Singh brothers.

The issue, as claimed in the FIR, allegedly began when Sagir received a tender in 2012 to reconstruct a flat on Jeet Narayan Singh’s property in Kashidih.

Sagir asserts that the Singh brothers started unlawfully encroaching on the land post-demolition, resulting in the project being stalled for five years.

With accusations ranging from the Singh brothers’ alleged physical assault on the builder to the extorting of large sums of money, the case has increased the legal challenges being faced by the BJP leader.

The FIR states that the project, which should have been completed in 2015, remains unfinished due to these disruptions.

Sagir claimed that he was previously hesitant to report the incidents due to Abhay Singh’s political influence.

However, he claimed, he has now mustered the courage to take legal action.

Abhay Singh, presently, is in Ghaghidih Central Jail after his arrest in the Kadma violence case.

His bail plea was turned down by the Jamshedpur court.

He has filed a fresh plea for bail in Jharkhand High Court.
