Seraikela – A horrifying collision occurred between two trucks near Giddibeda toll plaza under the jurisdiction of the Kandra police station, Seraikela-Kharsawan district, early Sunday morning.
The driver of one truck was tragically trapped in the cabin, while the driver of the other vehicle managed to escape unscathed.

The truck bearing number JH09AP- 6862, laden with iron ore, broke down near the toll plaza. An empty truck, number NL01AB- 2236, which was heading from Chandil towards Kandra, collided directly with the stalled truck.
The collision led to the driver of the empty truck being trapped inside the cabin. Miraculously, the driver of the loaded truck managed to evade harm.
The Kandra police were alerted and immediately responded to the scene of the accident. With the assistance of other truck drivers present at the site, a rescue operation ensued to free the trapped driver from the wreckage.

After a strenuous hour-long effort, the driver was successfully extracted and promptly transported to the hospital. His condition, however, remains critical.
Repeated road accidents in the district have led to questions being raised about the efficacy of the local traffic management.
Notably, the Kandra area has been identified as a high-risk accident zone.
