PFLI Leader Dinesh Gope, on NIA Remand for With ₹30 Lakh Bounty, Presented in NIA Court by Jharkhand Police

Maoist leader Dinesh Gope, carrying a ₹30 lakh bounty, is presented in NIA court by Jharkhand Police. He is remanded to NIA custody for 8 days.

RANCHI – People’s Liberation Front of India (PFLI) leader Dinesh Gope, who carried a bounty of ₹30 lakh on his head, was presented in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court by the Jharkhand Police today.

Amidst high security, the Jharkhand police requested a 15-day remand for Gope.

Dinesh Gope was apprehended in Nepal in a joint operation by the Jharkhand Police and the NIA. Jharkhand Police had placed a reward of ₹25 lakh for his capture, while the NIA offered an additional ₹5 lakh.

Following his arrest, Gope was transported to Delhi for extensive interrogation at a classified location before being presented in court today.

Gope, who led the militant organization PFLI, had become a synonym for terror in Jharkhand. Despite the relentless raids by the police, his capture had remained elusive until now.

His arrest marks a significant success in the ongoing fight against Maoist extremism in the region.
