Jamshedpur’s flying squad conducts surprise inspections, fines 15 shopkeepers ₹15,500 for license violations & banned plastic trade.
Jamshedpur – In a surprise inspection led by Special Officer Sanjay Kumar, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee’s flying squad checked the trade licenses of 60 shops in various markets on Wednesday.
The surprise inspections had started on Tuesday and it continued today on Wednesday.
JNAC officials said that such raids would continue even further until compliance becomes a regular norm

on Wednesday, a total of ₹15,500 in fines was imposed on 15 shopkeepers for license violations and banned plastic trade.
City Manager Ravi Bharti, in-charge tax inspector Manoj Kumar Lal Das, and regional tax workers Prakash Bhagat, Dilip Barik, Krishna Ram, Vinod Tiwari, Ganesh Ram, along with Home Guard jawans, participated in the operation.

During the inspection, an illegal construction shop was discovered, resulting in the halt of construction work and the demolition of a part being cast.

City Manager Joy Gudiya issued a stern warning to the encroaching shopkeeper, stating that further action could be taken under the Municipal Act if necessary.
