Namaz-e-Jumma Held in Shastri Nagar, Jamshedpur Amid Tight Security Measures

Jamshedpur: Namaz-e-Jumma, the Friday congregational prayers, was held at Shastrinagar in Jamshedpur amid a tight security arrangements, with a large number of Muslims offering prayers at the mosque.

In light of recent tensions between two communities in the area, local authorities implemented tight security measures to ensure the safety of worshippers and normalcy in the area.

The entire area around the mosque was turned into a virtual police camp, with the situation being monitored using drone cameras.

Several officers were present on-site and were keeping a close eye on the situation..

The Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar personally visited Shastri Nagar to assess the situation.

As the holy month of Ramazan is underway, the gathering at the mosque for Friday prayers reflected a gradual return to normalcy in Shastri Nagar.

The heightened security measures were put in place to ensure the security of the devotees as they came together for prayers.

Md Anwar, a member of the Muslim community who attended the Namaz-e-Jumma, expressed gratitude for being able to offer prayers with full devotion, wishing for happiness and prosperity.

However, he also urged the district administration to lift Section 144 of Cr PC without delay to improve the economic condition of small traders, keeping the month of Ramazan in view.
