Jamshedpur: The recent case of lathi charge on BJP workers during their state secretariat maha gherao program in Ranchi has sparked widespread resentment among BJP workers throughout the state.
On Wednesday, during a program directed by the State BJP, the Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP observed Black Day, terming this action as vandalism.
State BJP President cum Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash, MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, former State President Dr. Dineshanand Goswami, State Minister Rita Mishra, and others participated mainly.
Thousands of angry workers of Jamshedpur BJP burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Sakchi Golchakkar, accusing the Chief Minister Hemant Soren government of adopting a dictatorial attitude and killing democracy.
BJP workers shouted slogans against the state government from the district office located in Sakchi, passing through the Bengal Club till Sakchi Golchakkar.
During this, the workers protested by tying black cloth and raising anti-government slogans like Hemant Soren Murdabad and Dictatorship will not work.
Deepak Prakash criticized the Hemant Soren government and said that the kind of attitude shown by the police administration in the name of investigation and security while going to Ranchi on Tuesday clearly shows that the JMM administration is behaving like Congress. He further stated that the Hemant Soren government has lost the trust of the people, which is why violence was resorted to to suppress the peaceful movement.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also condemned the police’s barbaric action and said that the Hemant Soren government will be remembered for its dictatorship, corruption, helping middlemen, loot of mineral wealth, and appeasement.
He emphasized that their struggle is and will remain against this system of the government.
Former State President Dr. Dineshanand Goswami criticized the mahagathbandhan government of JMM-Congress for trying to suppress public sentiments with the help of sticks and bullets. He stated that no power in the world can scare or silence the BJP workers.
BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Gunjan Yadav said that everyone has the right to protest in a democracy.
But the way the Hemant Soren government lathi-charged thousands of Bharatiya Janata Party workers using police force, it is a completely dictatorial attitude.
