Jamshedpur: Saryu Roy, the Chairman and the member of the Committee on Public Undertakings of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, chaired a review meeting related to the functioning of government undertakings in the district at the Jamshedpur Circuit House auditorium on Tuesday.
The purpose of the committee’s meeting was to assess the activities of 31 corporations notified by the state government in different districts.
During the meeting, the functioning of the different government enterprises in the district, their profit and loss, and the benefits to the public were reviewed in accordance with the rules.
The meeting was attended by Director of DRDA Mr. Saurabh Sinha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi, District Supply Officer Mr. Rajiv Rajan, Special Division Officer Mr. Deepu Kumar, District Welfare Officer Mr. Rajesh Pandey, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Rohit Kumar, Dy SP Mr. Birendra Ram, and other departmental officers.
The review meeting provided an opportunity to the committee members to assess the effectiveness of various government undertakings and their impact on the public.
The committee’s visit and assessment are crucial for ensuring transparency and accountability in the functioning of these undertakings.
The meeting was an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and take corrective measures to ensure that the public receives the maximum benefit from these undertakings.
