West Singhbhum Jeteya police arrest Maoist wanted in several cases

Chaibasa: A member of the armed squad of the outlawed terrorist group CPI Maoist, Kisan Kerai, also known as Dukre Kerai and Kisan Dukre, was apprehended in Jeteya and sent to jail after an FIR was filed against him.

According to police, on March 12, the SP West Singhbhum, Chaibasa got a tip-off from intelligence indicating that Kisan Kerai had traveled back to his residence in in Sukripada under the jurisdiction of police station-Jeteya for celebrating the Maghe festival.

In response to the information, the SP ordered a raid to search the accused’s house under the direction of officer in-charge of Jeteya.

Kisan Kerai was captured during the raid with the assistance of the armed forces.

According to the police, he has acknowledged participating in a number of offenses while being part of the militant squad of the Maoist outfit. The accused was wanted in multiple cases and was on the run until his latest arrest.
