Jamshedpur: A motorcyclist was struck by a speeding heavy vehicle on NH33 and dragged for 20 metres, killing him instantly near Jhabari Thursday.
On the other hand, the spate of deaths caused in accidents continues on NH33.
Speeding and trampling people thereby causing loss of lives has become a norm in the recent past as several accidents have occurred.
Soon after this incident, the locals blocked NH-33 and demonstrated.
A large number of people are still on the roads demanding compensation.
The local administration cleared the road by trying to assuage the tempers of the irate group of locals. However, the crowd was yet to disperse.
Locals claim that the victim was driving a tractor in his farm and after finishing his work was heading home when a speeding heavy vehicle struck him on the National Highway resulting in instant death.
