Jamshedpur: The BJP leader Bharat Singh has been elected the new president of Jharkhand State Basketball Association. Mr. Singh held a press conference on Saturday and highlighted the different activities of the Association and also chalked out the future agenda of the association.
The new committee of the Association was announced recently that included, apart from the President Bharat Singh himself, General Secretary Jaiprakash Singh and Treasurer Ram Kumar Upadhyay too. All the office bearers have been announced.
Addressing the press conference, President of the Association Bharat Singh said that the Basketball Federation of India has recognized the Association owing to the positive work done by the Association during the last several years.
He said that the Association is committed to bring to the fore the talented players of basketball from every nook and corner of Jharkhand.
He said that the players would get all the facilities completely free during the state level championships.
He also promised that the Jharkhand State Basketball Association will continue to make every effort to take the game of basketball forward in the state.
