Covid-19 causes 1 more death after 59 days respite

Covid-19 has caused one more death in East Singhbhum taking the total death toll due to pandemic to 1058 in the district.

Jamsehdpur: Covid-19 has taken one more life in East Singhbhum district on Tuesday after a respite of 59 days.

For the last 59 days, East Singhbhum district had been faring well without any adverse news. However, on Tuesday one patient succumbed to the pandemic.

July 30 was the last day when a person had died due to corona in the district and since then the district has been doing well in fighting the pandemic. While the infection stats continued improving, no deaths were caused.

With one death caused by the pandemic on Tuesday, the total death toll in the district has now gone up to 1058.

On Tuesday itself, 4 new patients were found. Earlier, 4 persons were found positive on September 21.

Between September 21 and 27 only 2 persons were found covid positive in the district.

On Tuesday, one patient was also cured and discharged.

Till date, 50818 patients have recovered in the district.
