Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato’s efforts have borne fruits. Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi and Dhanbad-Jhargram MeMU trains are all set to resume service from Sep 7.
Jamshedpur: The efforts of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato have borne fruits once again. Two more trains are all set to resume operation from September 7, 2021. These two trains are Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi and Dhanbad-Jhargram MeMU.
Citizens of Jamshedpur are happy with the notification for resumption of these two trains, which were discontinued due to Corona.
MP’s representative Sanjeev Kumar issued a press release on Tuesday informing about resumption of two trains.
The two trains all set to resume their run include Howrah Barbil Janshatabdi Express and the second Dhanbad Jhargram MEMU train.
The MP Bidyut Baran Mahato had raised the issue of resuming the run of several trains that were discontinued due to corona pandemic. He had even met the Railway Minister and the Chairman of the Railway Board.
In view of his requests, on Tuesday, the Railway Board has approved the resumption of these two trains.
According to the notification issued, both these trains will start again from 7th September.
The MP expressed his gratitude to the Railway Minister, Chairman of Railway Board besides General Manager of South Eastern Railway for starting these trains.
He expressed hope that in the days to come, Steel Express too will also resume its service. He said that he has got assurance that a decision about resuming Steel Express too would be taken soon.
