CM felicitates Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das

The CM Hemant Soren met archers Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das and felicitated them by presenting them shawls. He said that the state government is providing all facilities to sportspersons and would continue to provide platform to talented players.

Ranchi: International archers Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das met the Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren at Project Building.

Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das shared their experiences of Tokyo Olympics 2020 which was held few days back.

Both of them expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the cooperation being provided by the State Government to the sports talents.

In the meeting, archery player Smt. Deepika Kumari said, “I will definitely try to give my best to bring laurels to Jharkhand and the country in the upcoming sports competitions.

The Chief Minister lauded the archery players Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das for their excellent performance in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The Chief Minister said, “winning and losing are the part of sport. Continue to work hard to make the state and the country proud by your achievements.”

The Chief Minister said that the present state government has formulated a better sports policy to promote sports and sportsperson in Jharkhand. Direct appointments of players have also been done under the sports policy.

The state government is committed to provide better and modern facilities to the players here so that they could bring laurels to the state with their performance in the world.

He said that everything related to the players has been taken care of in the sports policy.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren felicitated both the international archery players Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das and their parents Shiv Narayan Mahto and Geeta Devi by presenting shawls.

Sukhdev Singh, Chief Secretary and Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary to Chief Minister were also present on the occasion.
