Zero new corona positive cases in East Singhbhum, 5 cured, only 26 being treated

Corona tests done on 6568 persons on Monday, all found negative

Five cured and discharged, while 26 patients under treatment now

Jamshedpur: It is good news for the people of East Singhbhum. Zero new corona positive cases have been found in the district on Monday among 6,568 patients that were tested in the district.

5 corona patients were cured and discharged on Monday. With this, the district has now only 26 corona patients, who are undergoing treatment. If the trend continues, the district may soon be declared corona free.

The fight against the pandemic has been on for the last one and a half years.

The news of zero new infections being found on Monday has been received by the officials with joy. Especially, after at least 6,568 persons were tested.

After about 14 months and 9 days during the Corona pandemic, not a single positive case of Corona was found in East Singhbhum district.

It was on May 17, 2020 last when the day went off without any single new infection being detected.

According to official data, on Monday, during the tests in East Singhbhum district, RT PCR were conducted on 1772 people, 698 people were tested with TrueNat machine and 4098 people went through Rapid Antigen Test. All the tests reports were found negative.

On the other hand, five people have recovered in the district.

26 patients are still under treatment.

The District Surveillance Officer Dr. Sahir Paul has thanked his entire team and the people of the district for their awareness about Corona for this achievement.

He appealed to the people of East Singhbhum district to continue following the guidelines of the government.
