One arrested in Jugsalai firing case, sent to jail

Jamshedpur: Jugsalai police have arrested one person in connection with firing in Jugsalai on December 31, 2020. The police have also seized one live cartridge and a 9 mm pistol from his possession. After interrogation the arrested accused, Mohit Pandey, was sent to judicial custody on Wednesday.

The Dy SP Alok Kumar said that on January 31 last, the accused had allegedly sought rangdaari from one Amit Kumar and had even fired at him.

The bullet had pierced Amit Kumar’s leg and he is still under treatment, though out of danger in TMH.

The officer in charge of Jugsalai police station formed a team for arresting the accused and finally succeeded in nabbing him with a live cartridge and a 9 mm pistol.

The Dy SP said that Amit Kar is a courier agent, while the accused is a resident of Jugsalai and has been sent to jail even earlier in connection with other cases of theft and snatching etc.
