Corona causes 1 more death in Jharkhand on Saturday, total deaths now 1,071

Ranchi: coronavirus has taken one more life on Saturday in Jharkhand. With this the total number deaths caused by Corona virus in Jharkhand till Saturday has reached 1,071.

According to official data, 49 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Jharkhand on Saturday. The total number of infected persons in the state till Saturday has now reached 1,18,651.

On the other hand, 100 persons infected with coronavirus were also cured and discharged on Saturday in Jharkhand taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,17,004.

The state has tested 520 8961 samples till date. Out of these only 1,18,651 samples have tested positive, while 50,90,310 samples have tested negative.

The state, for now, has only 576 active positive cases. As per official data, the recovery rate for Jharkhand till Saturday was at 98.61%, while the mortality rate hovers around 0.90%.

East Singhbhum district remains the worst affected district in terms of positive cases as well as number of deaths.
