Corona claims 2 more lives in Jharkhand on Saturday, total deaths 1,018

Ranchi: After reporting nil death due to coronavirus on Friday, the state again reported 2 deaths due to the pandemic on Saturday. With this, the total death toll in Jharkhand due to the coronavirus pandemic has reached 1,018.

As per official data, 192 new cases were also reported in the state on Saturday. With this, the total number of infections in the state has reached 1,14,146.

According to official data, the state has tested 47,26,287 samples till date. Out of these, 1,14,146 samples tested positive, while, 1,11,530 have already been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has 1,598 active cases of coronavirus infections.

On Saturday, 179 patients were also cured and discharged. On the other hand, 2 deaths were also reported taking the total death toll to 1,018.

The recovery rate for the state has now reached 97.70%, while the mortality rate is only 0.89%.

East Singhbhum is the worst-hit district of the state. However, for the last 18 days, East Singhbhum has not reported any corona-caused death.
