Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed 1 more life in Jharkhand on Sunday taking the total death toll due to the pandemic in the state to 1019. On Saturday, the pandemic had caused 2 deaths in the state.
According to the official data, 122 fresh cases of coronavirus infection were also detected in different districts of the state. With this, the total number of positive cases till date in the state has reached 1,14,268.
However, 134 patients were also cured and discharged form different hospitals of the state. With this, the total number of patients who have been cured in the state has reached 1,11,664.
As per official data, 47,37,136 samples have been tested in the state and out of these, 1,14,268 have tested positives, while 1,11,664 have already been cured and discharged.
For now, the state has only 1,585 active cases of coronavirus infections.
The recovery rate in the state is 97.72%, while the positivity rate hovers around 0.89%.
East Singhbhum district remains the worst-hit district of the state. However, for the 19 straight days, East Singhbhum has not reported any death. Even on Sunday, no death was reported from East Singhbhum district.
