Bahadur Kisku demands immediate arrest of miscreants, describes it as attempt to disturb peace
Jamshedpur: Anti-social elements damaged the life-size statues of Veer Sidhu Kanu at Haludboni Chowk under the jurisdiction of Parsudih police station in Jamshedpur. The incident caused anger among the locals, who described it as a calculated attempt to disturb peace in the area.
According to information received, the locals saw in the morning that the bow and arrow in the hand of life-size statues of Sidhu Kanu were tampered with and damaged. The news about the damage caused to the statue spread like a wild-fire in the entire area.
The information also reached the workers of JMM, who reached the site and demanded that the administration nab the culprits as soon as possible.
The Jamshedpur block president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Bahadur Kisku said that anti-social elements are repeatedly trying to disturb peace in the area. He urged the police identify such elements and arrest them as soon as possible. He said that if the police does not do anything, they will have to take initiative at their own level.
Meanwhile, Parsudih police too reached the place and tried to find a clue to the entire incident through CCTV camera pictures in the area.
Later, Parsudih police officer Mohan Prasad said that the matter is being investigated and police are trying to identify the miscreants with the help of CCTV camera footage.
