Adityapur: Aam Aadmi party (AAP) members and supporters staged a 1-day hunger strike near Akashvani Chowk in Adityapur to express solidarity with the agitating farmers.
The farmer outfits of Punjab and a few other states have been agitating for the last 19 days against the Farm Laws 2020. Around 23 political parties of the country have extended support to the agitating farmers.
The agitation still continues despite several rounds of talks. The farmers are adamant on not ending their agitation until their demands are met.
Meanwhile, different political and social organisations have been extending their support for the agitating farmers.
A large number of workers and supporters of AAP on Monday held a one day hunger strike in Adityapur and demanded that the union government hold talks with the farmers and find a solution to the stalemate.
The Kolhan in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party, Prem Kumar, said that his party has been supporting the agitating farmers from the very beginning. He said that they would continue supporting the farmers till the government concedes to all their demands.
