Woman arrested in Adityapur for drug peddling

Jamshedpur: Adityapur police has achieved a major success in its drive against drug peddling and trafficking. On Sunday, the police raided Muslim Bustee in Adityapur and arrested a woman Lalli on the charges of drug peddling. The police also allegedly recovered 59 grams of brown sugar from her possession and sent her to judicial custody.

The SP of Seraikela Md. Arshi said that the accused has accepted her involvement in drug peddling. He said that the arrested accused is a drug peddler. He said that the police drive against narcotics trafficking and illicit liquor would continue even in the coming days.

Meanwhile, despite best efforts from the district police, drug peddling and drug trafficking continues in the district.

A few weeks back, the police had arrested another woman Dolly on the charges of drug peddling. It was expected that the police action would keep a check on drug peddling However, the activities of drug peddlers again began in many areas.
