Super Sunday for Jharkhand, no corona death

198 new cases, 214 cured, mortality rate 0.88%, recovery rate 97.15%


Ranchi: November 29 proved a super Sunday for Jharkhand as coronavirus spared the state with zero casualty. No deaths were reported from any district of the state and the total death toll due to coronavirus pandemic remained static at 963.

On the other hand, on Sunday itself, 198 new cases of corona infections were detected in different districts of the state. 214 patients were also cured and discharged.

According to official data, till Sunday, 41,34,660 samples have been tested in the state. Out of these only 1,08,984 samples have tested positive, while, 1,05,883 of these have already been cured. For now, the state has only 2,138 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The recovery rate for Jharkhand as a whole has reached 97.15%, while the mortality rate is at 0.88%.

East Singhbhum remains the worst affected district of the state. However, no death was reported from even East Singhbhum on Sunday.
