209 new cases, 216 cured, mortality rate 0.88%, recovery rate 97.13%
Ranchi: Coronavirus pandemic is certainly on the wane in the state of Jharkhand for now. On Saturday, it claimed 1 more life, however, the number of deaths being caused by the pandemic has certainly come down substantially.
According to official data, coronavirus pandemic has caused 963 deaths till Saturday evening in Jharkhand. On the other hand, 209 new cases were also detected in the state on Saturday. With this, the total number of infection cases in the district has reached 1,08,786.
Meanwhile, 216 patients have also been cured and discharged in the state on Saturday taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,05,669.
As per official data, 40,38,983 samples have been tested in the state till date. Out of these, 1,08,786 samples were found positive.
For now, the state has only 2,154 active cases of coronavirus infections.
East Singhbhum district is the worst-affected district in the state. However, on Saturday, no deaths were reported from East Singhbhum.
For Jharkhand, the recovery rate has now reached 97.13%, while the mortality rate remains at 0.88%.
