Coronavirus kills 3 in Jamshedpur on Tuesday

Total death toll now 367, 21 new infection cases also found

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has taken 3 more lives on Tuesday in Jharkhand taking the total death toll in East Singhbhum district to 367. And the increase in the number of deaths to 3 has caused worries for the health experts, who feel that the pandemic may be seeing a resurge.

After a brief lull for two days, coronavirus has once again taken 3 more lives in the city. All three patients who have died were being treated in TMH.

The deceased included a 73-year-old resident of Dhatkidih, a 76-year-old male from Harharguttu and a 72-year-old from Kadma. All three were admitted in TMH a week back.

According to official data, 21 new coronavirus positive patients were also detected in East Singhbhum. On Tuesday, 2,121 samples were tested. Out of these, 21 were found positive for corona. The number of infected persons in East Singhbhum district has now reached 16,368.

The number of recovered patients in the district has now reached 15,717.

Till Tuesday, the district has 373 active cases of coronavirus.
