Coronavirus claims 1 more life in Jamshedpur on Friday, total death toll now 362

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has claimed 1 more life on Friday in Jamshedpur taking the total death toll due to the pandemic to 362 now.

According to official data, on Friday, 29 new coronavirus positive cases were detected. With this, total number of infections in East Singhbhum district has now reached 16,368.

On the other hand, on Friday itself, 317 patients of corona were also declared cured and completely recovered and they were discharged from different hospitals of the district and home quarantine. With this, now 15,387 patients have recovered in East Singhbhum district till Friday.

While, 362 persons have succumbed to the virus, the number of active cases in the district is 619 and this number is slowly coming down.

According to official data, till Friday, 3,31,754 persons have been tested in the district. Out of these, 16,368 persons have been found positive. On the other hand, 3,15,386 persons have tested negative.

The recovery rate for East Singhbhum district has now gone up to 94%, while the mortality rate is at 2.2%, which is a bit on the higher side.

On the other hand, positivity rate is 4.9% and has slided below 5%, which is a positive sign.
