After no death for 5 days, coronavirus claims 3 more lives in Jamshedpur on Monday

Total death toll 359, 48 new cases detected, recovery rate 91%, mortality 2.2%, positivity 5%

Jamshedpur: After zero deaths for 5 consecutive days, coronavirus claimed 3 more lives on Monday. With this, the total death toll due to covid-19 in East Singhbhum district has now reached 359.

On the other hand, 48 new coronavirus positive cases were also detected in East Singhbhum on Monday. With this, the total number of covid-19 infection cases in the district has now reached 16,225.

On Monday itself, 39 patients were also declared cured and were discharged from different hospitals and home quarantine in the district. The number of recovered patients has now reached 14,680 in the district.

For now, the district has 1,186 active cases of coronavirus cases.

According to official data, till date, 3,21,454 samples have been tested in the district. Out of these, 3,05,229 samples have come out negatives hile 16,225 samples have tested positive.

Till Monday, the recovery rate for the district was hovering at 91%, while the mortality rate is stable at 2.2%. The positivity rate has come down slightly and is now at 5.0%.
