Coronavirus rears its head once again in Jamshedpur, claims 4 lives on Saturday

Total death toll in East Singhbhum reaches 342, 66 new cases detected too

Jamshedpur: After a brief lull for a couple of days, coronavirus has once again raised its head in Jamshedpur as it claimed 4 lives once again on Saturday.

According to official data, 4 persons died of covid-19 infection in the district on Saturday taking the total death toll in East Singhbhum district to 342.

As per official data, till Saturday, 2,45,439 samples have been tested in the district. Out of these only 15,247 have tested positive. 2,30192 samples have tested negative.

On Saturday, 66 new coronavirus positive cases were detected in the district, taking the total number of infections in the district to 15,247.

On the other hand, 55 covid-19 patients were also cured and discharged in the district, taking the total recoveries to 13,685 in the district till Saturday.

With 4 deaths on Saturday, the total death toll for the district has gone up to 342, which remains a big concern.

The district still has 1,220 active cases of coronavirus infections.
